Brenna's Thoughts on School in Germany

This is Brenna writing.  I go to H.I.S. (Heidelberg International School).  It is really cool because they are different grades on each floor and there are four floors.  I have had about five playdates already from kids at school.  I have friends from different countries, such as Israel, Germany, United States, England, Canada, Scotland and more!  They are really nice and all want to sit by me at lunch.

We have a few different classes, like technology.  We build things with wires in that class.  I have German language class twice a week and my teacher only speaks German to me to teach.  So it is really hard to understand.  I memorized a poem called Der Zauberlehrling and it is all in German.

I have three teachers in my classroom, who are all from different countries.  The assistant teacher is from Canada.  One of the main teachers is from Great Britain and the other is from Scotland.  The school is way different from my old, one story school. I like it a lot and everyone is friendly.
This is me, my sister, and two new friends painting pottery afterschool.
A note from Michele...Germany takes their schooling serious. Just this morning we had a visit at our door from Germany's CPS to make sure the girls were attending school.  I guess the "welcome" letter I received from the local school was more than just a friendly letter.  :)
