An Interesting Start

 So our adventure began yesterday and it was quite an interesting start!  A Central Indiana snowstorm prevented our dog Benji from catching his flight in Chicago.  Since customs in Frankfort are not open for the weekend, he is chillin' in Chi-town until Monday.

Our flight from Charlotte to Frankfort was delayed, delayed...then canceled! So of course, with two girls who were hungry and exhausted,  there were many tears!  It was so frustrating to be so close then have to wait even longer.

So we are sitting in Charlotte waiting to board to Washington DC, then hopefully onto Frankfort and arrive Saturday around 7am Germany time.  We are all learning a lesson in patience!  Does it seem like I am complaining?  I'm not!  Just thankful to be safe, and trying to find the joy in the little things. Like our surprise ride to the airport in a limo!  It was the highlight of the girls' day!
