This week marks three months into our Germany adventure! We have settled into a routine and are finally starting to feel "normal". And as that is happening, we are starting to miss home and family and friends. Some days we also miss a tasty Jimmy Johns, or large parking spaces, or drive-thru's, or free public toilets, or a Chick-fil-A milkshake. But we can live without the little things, I guess, since our lives have gained so much more!

More Beauty... Spring in Germany is absolutely beautiful! These are blossoming apple trees near the vineyards by our house. Everything is blooming and our neighbors are tending to their tulips and daffodils. |

Less TV, More Fun... We watch little or no TV throughout the week! Some may say that is disappointing, but I love it! Our days are so busy with school, homework, activities, and outdoor play, that we have no room for TV. A friend introduced us to a very cool place called "Fun Arena" where the girls can jump, slide, swing, ride cars, you name it! |

More Travel... We recently had the pleasure of my cousin Becca here to visit the Swiss Alps. We even took a cable car to the top of Mount Pilatus in Switzerland and the view of God's creation was just awesome. We also have visited several historic towns. Some buildings which are dated 1749, and we think that is old, until we find another building/remains dated 1420! |

More Language... We bought the girls a book in German, but it was a book they already have in English. Our hope is for them to be fluent by next month, so that they can be our translators. Just kidding. we are all learning. The girls have a German language class twice a week at school and we have 3 hours a week of language training. It is a very slow process, but at least we can all count to 1,000 now!

More Dogs... It is so neat that there are dogs everywhere here in Germany! Dogs are on the trams, in the shopping stores, in restaurants. Benji is not quite ready for full-time publicity, but he is becoming a better, well-behaved German dog. Our German neighbor loves dogs so much that she comes to take him for a walk with other dogs frequently. We are very thankful he has joined us here because he has helped with the transition, especially for Kayla!
